Changes

It's official. At the end of the month, I will be leaving my current job for another. And going through the deliberations for the past week put me on edge that I almost crapped my pants.

On the one hand, I needed to move on (and the job offer I got was good). On the other hand, I felt really bad about leaving all my co-workers.

"At least you gave us a months notice; that really says a lot about a person."

That's what my boss said after I built up enough courage to tell him the bad news. I was a nervous mess, but he was understanding and very supportive. As we continued to talk, I couldn't help but continue to apologize for leaving; they were really good to me.

"Don't worry, you'll live." I hope so. And thanks for the memories.

You blogged at 2am??!!

Well, congrats Jason! It's always hard to leave a job that's almost like 2nd family to you. I'm thinking of leaving my job too, but working here for 6 years, I don't think it'll be easy. ANYWAY ...

Congratulations, Jase! And yea, I was always nervous about leaving a job, thinking they'd hate me, but people move on all the time. And, giving them a months notice does say alot about you. Again, congrats!

Are you kidding? I can't wait until I get to give my employer the finger and strut out slapping my ass. I think I'll even wear hot pants that day so they get he full ass jiggling experience.

Change is good. It breaks us out of old habits and oepns us up to new adventures; and new explorations into ourselves.

Congrats!!

Go forth boldly!

Wow. A month's notice. You must have either liked your old company and just need a changed or really liked your boss. I've never had any desire to give more than the 2 weeks they requested. If they want more than 2 weeks, they should have for more than 2 weeks.
